The problem "No Usable Vector Paths" appears when opening Illustrator files

A1- If you are trying to make 3D objects out of an Illustrator file containing text, remember to Create Outlines on the text before saving the file.

A2- When saving the Illustrator file, be sure to turn off the "Use Compression" checkbox. This option is located in the Illustrator Options window after entering your file name.

A3- Check to see that there are no placed images in the file. If you have a jpeg image as a background, you will need to delete the jpeg image from the project file.
