What is Vector artwork?

Vector artwork is created by Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw or by the Shape tools inside of Adobe Photoshop. Vector artworks are used to create the geometry of a 3D object. Pixel-based images like JPEG, GIF, or PNG can only be used to color the 3D objects.

If all you have is a pixel-based file you will need to draw some kind of vector artwork to put it on. See the Video Tutorials page to watch several movies on how to put a picture onto a 3D object, and how to create vector artwork in Photoshop.
