On the Mac, using OSX 10.7 Lion, OSX 10.8 Mountain Lion, or OSX 10.9 Mavericks, after entering the authorization code, I get an error message that says "Invalid Zaxwerks Preferences - cannot open security file. Program will be cancelled. You must be logged in as an Admin to enter the authorization code".

Read here if you are using ProAnimator/Invigorator Version 5 (or above) or 3D Flag, Reflector, Serpentine, Warps, Werks Version 2:

If you have After Effects running, first quit out of After Effects.

Click the "Go" button, hold down the "Option" key on the keyboard and click the "Computer" button. Select your main Hard Drive, go into the "Users > Shared > Zaxwerks" and enable the "Read & Write" permissions for the "Libraries" folder.

Be sure to enable "Read & Write" permissions for everything listed. This may include the "User Account, Wheel, and Everyone".

Re-launch After Effects if you are using an After Effects Plug-in. Apply the plug-in and enter the authorization code. If you set the "Read & Write" permissions correctly, you should haven't any further issues after the code has been accepted.

Once the code has been accepted, you can switch the permissions back to "Read Only" for "Everyone" if needed.

Read here if you are using ProAnimator/Invigorator Version 4.5.1 or 3D Flag, Reflector, Serpentine, Warps, Werks Version 1 or Layer Tools (version 1 or version 2):

If you have After Effects running, first quit out of After Effects.

Click the "Go" button, hold down the "Option" key on the keyboard and click the "Computer" button. Select your main Hard Drive, and with the "Option" key held down, you will be able to go into the "Library" folder. Then use the "Get Info" command on the "Preferences" folder.

Be sure to enable "Read & Write" permissions for everything listed. This may include the "System, Admin, User Account, Wheel, and Everyone".

Next click the "Go" button, and click "Home". Create a "Library" folder, and double check that it has "Read & Write" permissions. Then go into the "Library" folder, and create a "Preferences" folder. Again, check to see that the Preferences folder has "Read & Write" permissions.
