Custom Edge Styles

With the PRO versions of the Invigorator you can create your own custom Edge Styles. This feature greatly expands the modeling capabilities. Download libraries of Edge Styles made by our staff and other Invigorator users.

Bottles and Glassware from the Invigorator?!?

Even thoug the Invigorator is thought of as an "Extrusion-style" modeler, it can create "Lathe-style" models just as easily.

  1. Start with an Illustrator file of a filled circle that is only 1/8 inch (about 10 points) across.
  2. Apply one of the Custom Edges from the examples below.
  3. Set the Depth to a large number. Depth in htis case usually determines the height of the object.
  4. Set the Object Faceting to a small value to make the object smoother around. Usually .2 or .3 will do it.
  5. The object will be laying down. Rotate it -90 degrees on the X axis to stand it up.

Here are two Illustrator files containing custom edges.
You can open them in Illustrator to see how you can make your own!
